Job summary

MacLean Engineering in North Bay, Ontario is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. You will read engineering drawings, assemble mechanical and hydraulic components, and verify subassemblies meet specifications.

The role requires experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and a safety‑driven mindset. Overtime and full‑time hours are available in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy-duty mobile equipment and industrial machinery is required.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to assemble mechanical and hydraulic components.
• Assemble and install subassemblies per drawings or supervisor directions.
• Assemble hydraulic systems and hose fittings per schematics.
• Operate pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain quality and compliance with company policies and ISO 9001.
