Prairie Fleet Services in Killarney, MB seeks a Heavy-Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair trucks, trailers and equipment, reporting to the Shop Manager. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and ensure high-quality service for customers.

Qualifications

• Red Seal (asset) but not required.
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd year apprentices welcome.
• 2-4 years experience with heavy trucks, light vehicles, trailers or equipment.
• CVSA inspections certification (asset).
• Valid Class 5 license (Class 1 asset).
• Teamwork and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Welding experience (asset).
• Opportunity for on-the-job training and career growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate mechanical repairs on trucks, trailers, vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and malfunctions.
• Maintain high service standards for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all vehicles and equipment.
• Write service reports and work orders; complete needed repairs.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
