Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic - Level 2 to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of heavy equipment in a safety-focused environment. You will work with a variety of makes and models, including aerial platforms and other construction tools.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience and a HS diploma or GED, with trade training preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
2 to 5 years of mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment (e.g., boom lifts, scissor lifts, aerial equipment) strongly preferred.
May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic - Level 2. The Heavy Duty Mechanic - Level 2 role performs preventive maintenance, perform diagnostics and make repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily include Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired
2 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment (ex: boom lifts, scissor lifts, aerial equipment, etc.) strongly preferred

Base Pay Range - Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
