Job summary

Southview Trucking Ltd in Vermilion, Alberta is seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our growing fleet. The role supports diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on highway tractors and trailers, with CVIP inspections as applicable.

We welcome candidates with a Trailer Mechanic certification and 3rd year apprentice or journeyman ticket (Transportation/Heavy Duty). CVIP certification is an asset and a valid driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

• Trailer Mechanic certification
• 3rd year apprentice or journeyman ticket (Transportation/Heavy Duty)
• CVIP certification an asset
• Experience with truck and trailer systems, diagnostics, and general repair
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work safely and follow company procedures
• Valid driver’s licence

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on highway tractors and trailers

• Troubleshoot electrical, air, and hydraulic systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance and detailed service reports
