Park Paving Job Opportunity: Heavy Duty Technician

Park Paving has been locally owned and operated for 50 years, serving Edmonton and surrounding areas as one of the largest road construction contractors. We are seeking an Experienced Journeywoman/Man Heavy Duty Technician to join our Maintenance Division based in Sherwood Park, AB. Applicants must possess a Heavy Duty Mechanic License.

We will consider on-road and off-road mechanics or apprentices with equipment and truck experience.

This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive wages and benefits.

The role primarily involves field work, performing maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty equipment in Edmonton and nearby areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with supervisors, administration, and team members to complete work orders efficiently.
2. Work independently with limited supervision, leading and assisting others as needed.
3. Complete required paperwork, including work orders, hazard assessments, daily timesheets, and repair logs.
4. Test, troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, and replace parts and equipment controls.
5. Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on all equipment and assets.
6. Service heavy-duty equipment in the field independently.
7. Complete CVIP inspections (preferred, not mandatory).
8. Identify repairs needed during inspections and discuss with supervisors for approval.
9. Submit work orders upon job completion.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including benches and toolboxes.

Applicants should have a valid driver’s license, strong operational knowledge of heavy-duty equipment, and the ability to diagnose and repair equipment effectively. A positive and respectful attitude is essential.

Note: Successful candidates must have a clean driving record and pass a medical/fitness exam as conditions of employment.
