Job summary

The role involves conducting maintenance, CVIP inspections, and supervising apprentices while promoting safety and efficiency. Diversified Transportation is currently seeking a full‑time Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Fort McMurray.

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will work in a fast‑paced environment maintaining a large fleet of motorcoaches. Diversified offers an above‑average work environment with an emphasis on safety and training.

Work Shift

Full‑time, 7 and 7 shifts (12‑hour shift, rotating between nights and days)

Wage

$ per hour, plus $ per hour night premium, and $ per hour CVIP license premium

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Knowledge of computer technology trends in the service industry, diagnostic programs and service manuals
  • Ability to develop new solutions and techniques to solve problems related to new and / or different equipment
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Ability to obtain clearance for the following tasks are required: driving record check (abstract), physical demands analysis, drug & alcohol test, criminal record check
Education Requirements
  • Certified Heavy Equipment Technician (recognized in Canada)
  • Journeyperson certification: other levels may be considered
  • Valid class 1, 2Q or 3Q driver’s license is considered an asset
