Job summary

Wainbee in Abbotsford, BC is hiring Heavy Duty Commercial Transport Mechanics to join our growing team. You will perform routine service, maintenance, and repairs, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, and diagnose faults on truck and trailer units.

Qualified candidates have Truck-Trailer Repair or Truck and Transport Mechanic certification (or equivalent experience), 3+ years in the field, and a Class 1 or 3 license is an asset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty transport mechanics (including apprenticeship hours).
• Truck-Trailer Repair or Truck and Transport Mechanic certification, or equivalent experience.
• Class 1 or 3 license is an asset.
• BC Commercial Vehicle Inspector Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service, maintenance, and repairs.
• Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting & diagnostics.
• Engine and transmission repairs.
• Incidental welding operations and other forms of mechanical repair work.
• Perform inspections and test mechanical units.
• Diagnose faults and malfunctions.
• Adjust, repair and/or replace parts and components of truck systems.
• Use power and hand tools related to motor vehicle service & repair.
• Complete reports and documentation as required.

6. BC Commercial Vehicle Inspector Certification is an asset
