Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Heavy-Duty Cleaner Floater to maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior areas across multiple Ontario locations including Toronto and Mississauga.

The role requires availability for two shifts, 8:00am–4:30pm, across Monday to Sunday, with a compensation of $18.25 per hour. Duties include cleaning, restrooms, floors, waste disposal, and reporting hazards to management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard janitorial methods and equipment.
• Knowledge of proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to operate janitorial tools and equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of building and property security procedures.
• Ability to explain instructions to others.
• Ability to prioritize the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services restrooms.
• Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways.
• Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials.
• Observes conditions and reports repairs or hazards.
• Dusts blinds, furniture, and fixtures.
• Polishes furniture and chrome.
• Maintains cleaning supply inventory.
• Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, and fixtures.
• Loads and unloads supplies and moves heavy items.
• Replaces light bulbs and fuses.
• May perform ground maintenance including snow removal.
• Assists with garbage bins and compactor room.
• Performs related duties as needed.
