A local cleaning service in Metro Vancouver is looking for an experienced heavy-duty cleaner to join their team. The role involves sweeping, mopping, operating industrial vacuum cleaners, and disinfecting various areas while working independently. Candidates must have at least 7 months of prior cleaning experience, be able to manage heavy loads, and possess a secondary school certificate. A valid work authorization in Canada is mandatory. Job Title: heavy-duty cleaner

Employer: Green & Gold Cleaning

Location: Langley, BC (V1M 4A6) – on the road (frequent travel required)

Salary: $36.61 per hour (32 hours per week)

Employment: Permanent, full‑time

Shift: Day, weekend, shift (to be determined)

Start: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Operate heavy equipment and maintain equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas; wax and polish floors.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in cleaning, especially windows.
  • Physical: Able to handle heavy loads, perform repetitive tasks, bend, crouch, kneel, and complete physically demanding work.
