Location: This is a remote position but candidates must be able to commute within York Region when required
York Region Food Network (YRFN) is a charitable organization that connects and empowers people to access healthy food through education and advocacy. We create opportunities for community residents to have access to healthy foods while also advocating for income security as a long-term solution to food insecurity.
This position will provide operational support, engagement and coordination for the York Region Food Council’s working groups. This position will be working alongside our Food Policy Lead to ensure each of the working groups are supported in implementing their work plans, organizing meetings, ensuring strong communication with members and recruiting new members for each working group. Working groups include Emergency Food Access Cluster, York Region Community Garden Working Group, Youth Food Committee and Community Engagement Working Group.
