Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Healthy Aging Coordinator, located in Fort McMurray, AB. The Healthy Aging Coordinator will be responsible for planning and implementing programs and activities that promote the well-being of older adults. Daily tasks include coordinating health and wellness workshops, providing support and resources to seniors, and liaising with community partners to enhance service delivery. The role also involves monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness, reporting on outcomes, and ensuring the highest quality of care for seniors in our community.

  • Experience in program planning and implementation, particularly for older adult populations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with community partners and stakeholders
  • Empathy and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for older adults
  • Proficiency in using technology and software for program management
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, gerontology, health sciences, or a related field
  • Experience working in a non-profit or community-based organization is a plus
