A leading security services company is seeking a Healthcare North Zone Supervisor for the Grande Prairie area. This role requires someone with law enforcement or security experience and excellent customer service skills. The Supervisor will handle emergencies, liaise between staff and management, and maintain professional standards. Candidates must possess a valid Alberta Security License, a non-GDL class 5 license, and required first aid certifications. The Healthcare North Zone Supervisor position with Paladin Security Grande Prairie requires a skill combination of superior customer service, above average supervision skills, superior reporting skills and the willingness to learn and adapt to any situation that may arise.
As this position covers the AHS North Zone, this role encompasses a large amount of responsibility in both physical size and stress management. The Supervisor may be required to attend and oversee large scale incidents that may require extensive emergency response experience, along with incident command and emergency management skills.
The Supervisor will be exposed to a variety of situations where there may or may not be anyone else available to assist. With proper training, the Supervisor is expected to be able to handle any situation that may arise on their own.
The successful candidate will
This position is a high expectation position and the individual selected for the task must understand their role. Reporting to the Healthcare Client Service Manager, the Supervisor must be able to prioritize in an ever‑changing environment. The individual is responsible for frequent conversation with the employees, public and occasionally the client and must portray themselves in a courteous, professional manner at all times. The Supervisor must act as the initial liaison between the front‑line staff and management. Should any issues arise, the officer must be comfortable making decisions in stressful situations, critical thinking while maintaining compassion and empathy, and knowing when to bring issues to management.
Multiple interviews may be required for successful completion of the hiring process. The successful candidate will have a detailed cover letter explaining how they meet or exceed the qualifications. The cover letter will detail personal experience in law enforcement and/or security. The successful candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Grande Prairie area.
