Job summary

Riverside Health Care is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead security programs across multiple sites, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role requires coordinating security guards and risk management activities under the direction of the Interim VP, Administrative & Support Services.

Ideal candidates have a post-secondary education in criminology or security administration, a valid Security Guard license, 2–5 years of security experience, and strong leadership,

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in criminology, criminal law, and/or Security administration preferred.
• Current valid ministry approved Security Guard license required or commitment to complete licensing as part of employment.
• Minimum two to five years of experience in security or related field required.
• Knowledge of Security practices and related legislation in Ontario.
• Must be highly organized with solid problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services for Riverside Health Care in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
• Oversee security reports and incident handling; ensure timely completion of special incident reports.
• Maintain relationships with local enforcement as required.
• Ensure daily site inspections and address security concerns.
• Develop, maintain, and review Security protocols annually.
• Plan and deliver education and training to security staff.
• Monitor and manage surveillance equipment and access control systems.
• Collaborate with management to coordinate specialized security functions.
• Assist Human Resources with investigations and reporting related to staff issues.
