• Hours: Continental rotation 0800‑2000 / 2000‑0800
• Payrate: $22.61 / hour

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a smart, visible, and professional security presence.
• Greet, assist, and direct members of the public.
• Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, buildings, and assets.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Conduct proactive and reactive patrols (interior/exterior).
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as required.
• Document, report, and investigate security incidents and routine issues.
• Perform patient watches as needed.
• Enforce hospital policies, parking/smoking by‑laws, and access/key control.
• Complete monthly safety inspections.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C Certificate (from a WSIB‑approved provider)
• Ability to be clean‑shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID‑19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2)
• Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR‑V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.

• 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
• Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre‑requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
