Position: Healthcare Security Guard - Full-Time - Belleville General Hospital

Site: Belleville General Hospital - 265 Dundas St. E

Hours: Continent Rotation (08:00-20:00 – 20:00-08:00)

Overtime Method: Ontario Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 Hours

Pay Rate: $19.13 hourly

Internal Posting: January 16, 2026

Internal Closing: January 23, 2026

External Closing Date: February 28, 2026

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence
  • Greet, assist, and direct visitors courteously
  • Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, and property
  • Conduct proactive and reactive patrols (interior/exterior)
  • Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as neededComplete detailed reports and investigations of incidents
  • Monitor patients and enforce hospital policies and by-laws
  • Manage access control, keys, and perform safety inspections
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Valid Security License for Ontario
  • Valid G Class driver's licence and reliable vehicle required
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
  • A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)

  • Minimum 6 months security experience (1+ year preferred)
  • Healthcare security experience an asset
  • Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
  • Must be able to site train at all four QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Bancroft)
  • Must be able to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
    • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
    • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
  • Legally Authorized to work in Canada
