Job summary

Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority seeks a Housekeeping Aide for the Selkirk Regional Health Centre. Under supervision, you will maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors and staff, following established work schedules and procedures.

The role requires good English communication, previous health-care or institutional cleaning experience, and the ability to work day shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 education required.
• Experience in health care or institutional cleaning preferred.
• Must demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Perform cleaning duties according to established schedules and procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines and infection control practices.
• Assist with special cleaning and housekeeping tasks as assigned by supervisor.
