Overview

Job Description

The South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre (SEOCHC) is a community-based organization delivering integrated, interdisciplinary team-based care. SEOCHC’s mission is to improve the lives of people facing inequities by providing accessible community health and social services. The Centre seeks its next Health Services Director to lead planning, delivery, and evaluation of the Health Services portfolio and to work with the Senior Management Team and Executive Director on strategic initiatives.

Location: 1355 Bank Street, Ottawa, Ontario. Travel occasionally is required.

Responsibilities
  • Direct the planning, delivery, and evaluation of all aspects of the Health Services portfolio.
  • Manage five direct reports overseeing the Primary Care Clinic, Primary Care for Priority Populations, and regional programs of Primary Care Outreach to Seniors and Regional Integrated Care.
  • Contribute to Centre-wide strategic objectives by designing and implementing programs aligned with the long-term vision.
  • Engage, manage, and motivate a highly skilled inter-professional team delivering programs using a multi-service, community-directed approach.

The role also involves supporting health system transformation and reporting to the Executive Director.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication; strong presentation skills; bilingual English/French required; other languages a plus.

  • Organization: Strategic and project management capabilities with strong critical thinking; superb multi-tasking.
Education
  • Master’s Degree in a health-related discipline, strong clinical background, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Regulated health professional designation and experience in primary care are assets.
Experience
  • 5–10 years of management experience with relevant clinical leadership of an interprofessional health care model.
  • Understanding of the CHC model; experience in operational and financial/budget management.
  • Experience in program/service development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation; change management experience is an asset.
