Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and growth-oriented Account Executive to join our team, focused on identifying, engaging, and winning health-focused business opportunities. This role is critical in driving revenue by building trusted relationships with healthcare organizations, leading strategic sales in a complex environment, and growing high-value accounts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and brings a disciplined, insight-driven approach to prospecting, creating a high velocity pipeline, and closing deals. Experience navigating RFPs is required, but the role centers on proactive business development and strategic selling.

This position is home-based (remote) but will require travel to customer visits and appointments as required.

Responsibilities
  • Drive new business growth by identifying, engaging, and closing opportunities within the healthcare space that align with our strategic growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute account strategies that position our solutions for long-term success and expansion across stakeholder groups.
  • Lead complex sales cycles with multiple decision-makers, applying strategic selling frameworks to guide opportunity progression and close deals.
  • Build and grow relationships with executive-level stakeholders, aligning our value proposition with their strategic priorities, identifying potential deals early in the buying cycle.
  • Use AI-driven tools and digital sales platforms to enhance prospecting, prioritize outreach, and personalize engagement.
  • Maintain a strong, well-qualified pipeline with accurate forecasting and regular progression updates via HubSpot CRM.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, delivery, and leadership to craft compelling solutions that meet & exceed customer needs.
  • Build compelling proposals clearly articulating Calian’s unique value proposition, helping clients reach differentiation in their marketplace (within or outside an RFP setting).
  • Monitor industry trends, buyer behavior, and policy changes to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic outreach.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or equivalent in relevant specialty field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, creating & managing complex deals in long sales cycles with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong consultative & strategic selling, exceptional communication & influencing skills.
  • Experience building compelling proposals considering the clients buying journey (within or outside a formal procurement process).
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and familiarity with AI-enabled sales tools for account intelligence lead sourcing, targeting, and engagement.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a collaborative, performance-focused environment – bilingual capability is an asset
  • Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.
