Your Opportunity to Shape What’s Next

As a Health and Safety Consultant at PSHSA, you will be the primary point of contact for clients seeking specialized health and safety solutions. You’ll deliver services such as risk assessments, audits, analyses, and training—helping workplaces improve health and safety outcomes through evidence‑informed practices. Reporting to the Director, Workplace Wellbeing, you will build and maintain strong client relationships, support the development of programs and resources, and contribute to positioning PSHSA as a leader in client‑focused, innovative health and safety consulting. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in general or hazard‑specific risk assessments (e.g., MSD, psychosocial, hygiene), psychological health and safety program supports, auditing, and health and safety management systems.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Create and support signature stakeholder experiences by partnering with clients to provide PSHSA’s specialized consulting solutions to meet identified need and create a healthy and safe work environment.
  • In collaboration with the Director, Workplace Wellbeing – develop programs, tools and resources to support PSHSA’s specialized services consulting solutions.
  • Champion health and safety initiatives to reduce injuries and incidents and enhance safety performance of clients.
  • Support efforts of the regional team through project management, educating, assisting, and mentoring team partners.
  • Maintain knowledge of the OH&S Act and related regulations, leading edge H&S initiatives across the province and other jurisdictions, and PSHSA products and services.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of PSHSA products and programs, acting as subject matter expert when required.
  • Represent PSHSA to individuals, groups, JHSC’s, senior officers and other groups.
Your Strengths and Expertise
  • A university degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Post‑secondary completion of a health and safety program.
  • A Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or equivalent is encouraged.
  • Designation in an area of specialization is an asset (i.e., Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist).
  • Minimum 5 years of related job experience.
  • Knowledgeable in health and safety legislation and health and safety management systems.
  • Significant experience in consulting, managing a client base, building relationships and achieving targets and objectives.
  • Knowledgeable in Adult Education principles, excellent facilitation skills, capable of delivering training sessions at all levels.
  • Able to manage and prioritize a variety of projects simultaneously.
  • Works well independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
  • Able to work with a variety of software, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Customer Relationship Management systems.
Details of the Role

Status: Full‑time Temporary, up to March 31, 2026
Hours of work: 37.5 / week
Location: Remote
Bargaining Unit position: No
Travel Required: Yes, only when necessary.
Classification: Starting from $88,000 per annum
