Job summary

The Portfolio Group Inc. seeks a Health & Safety Consultant for GTA West (Etobicoke, ON) to advise clients across Toronto area. You will work standard hours Monday to Friday, with an established base salary and a £8,400 car allowance as part of the compensation package.

Responsibilities include applying OHSA knowledge, reporting after visits, and developing safety programs. A degree and land in Canada’s OH&S laws are required; 3–5+ years in the field preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
• CRST/CRSP/NCSO designation.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian OH&S legislation.
• Experience developing and implementing health and safety programs (training, auditing, risk eval, procedures).
• 3–5+ years of health and safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply Ontario OHSA knowledge to provide practical advice and solutions.
• Proactively follow up with clients regarding advice, solutions and recommendations.
• Prepare and complete internal reports after client visits.
• Review client policies and documents to craft compliant recommendations.
• Provide field support and document Health & Safety Essentials services.

Health & Safety Consultant - GTA West (52431CN) Etobicoke, Canada

Salary: CAD75000 - CAD95000 per annum

As aHealth & Safety Field Consultantyou will be providing essential advice, support, and solutions to clients inToronto/Etobicoke/Mississauga/GTA Westand surrounding areas. As a consultant, you will offer field support and documentation as part of my client's Health & Safety Essentials service. The position requires working Monday to Friday, with regular hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Join us in making workplaces safer and healthier for all.

Base salary + car allowance of $8400

Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Proactively reaching out to clients to follow up regarding any advice, solutions, support or recommendations that are given
• Providing relevant and correct advice, support, solutions and recommendations to our clients in a professional, efficient and practical manner
• Completing internal reports following client visits
• Reading and analyzing a client’s policies and other related documentation for the purposes of providing advice, support, solutions and/or recommendations

What you Bring to the Team

Education/Experience

• A degree or diploma from an accredited college or university
• CRST/CRSP/NCSO Designation
• Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation throughout Canada
• A strong background in developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety programs such as, but not limited to, training, auditing, evaluating process risks, safe work procedures program management and managed systems approach
• A minimum of 3-5 plus years of relevant work experience in health and safety
