A provincial government is seeking a Health Promotion Coordinator to drive health promotion initiatives for Nova Scotians. Reporting to the Director, Health Promotion, the Health Promotion Coordinator is part of a team that leads and drives initiatives focused on the promotion of health and wellbeing for Nova Scotians. The Health Promotion Coordinator provides strong, competent leadership, and specialized subject matter expertise in the areas of health promotion, population health and health equity. They support the formulation, development, and administration of legislation, provincial policy, system strategy, indicators and performance standards that are responsive to the changing health needs of Nova Scotians, are aligned with the overall strategic vision and mission of the Department and contribute to overall improvement in health system performance and population health outcomes.
Provide leadership in the identification and development of comprehensive health promotion policy, strategy, standards, legislation and regulation to drive improvements in population health outcomes.

Most of your time is spent in a comfortable office setting sitting for long periods of time.
Travel throughout the province is required.
Your normal work week is 35 hours / week, 7 hours / day. You may be required to work overtime on occasions.
Pay Grade: EC 11 Salary Range: $3,;- $4,;Bi-Weekly
