Homewood Health, Inc. is Canada’s leading provider of evidence-based mental health treatment. We are seeking a Health Information Management Professional to join a collaborative team delivering secure, high-quality patient data services and programs.

You will assign diagnostic codes, collect and review patient information for evidence-based decisions, analyze data, and advocate for patient rights while complying with privacy laws and CIHI guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an approved Health Science, Health Information Management or Health Informatics Program.
• Member in good standing of CHIMA/CCHIM.
• Knowledge of CIHI guidelines, data submission and report interpretation.
• Excellent computer proficiency and data integrity.

Aufgaben

• Assign diagnostic codes to inpatients records and electronically abstract demographic and clinical information.
• Assist Clinical Programs in collecting patient information.
• Gather and review information from patient records for evidence-based decisions.
• Analyze and interpret data and present information.
• Act as a resource regarding access and disclosure of personal health information.
• Process access/disclosure requests according to policy and laws.
• Act as release of information specialist and patient advocate.
