Job summary

The University of Calgary invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Quantitative Health Equity Research in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Cumming School of Medicine. The position allocates 75% effort to research and 25% to teaching and service, with a target start on or before July 1, 2027 as part of the Canada Impact+ initiative.

We seek an outstanding early career researcher with a PhD and post-doctoral training in relevant fields.

Qualifications

• PhD required in a relevant field with research training.
• Emerging program of research addressing health equity and population health.
• Experience with rigorous quantitative or mixed-methods approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent, internationally recognized program of research.
• Secure external funding and mentorship for trainees and collaborators.
• Teach and supervise graduate students and postdocs; contribute to curriculum development.
• Collaborate across departments and with external partners to maximize knowledge mobilization.
