Job summary

University of Toronto invites applications for a Sessional Instructional Assistant in Health Care Ethics (HMB406H1S). The appointment covers January 1, 2027 to April 30, 2027, with lectures on Mondays from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the St. George campus in downtown Toronto.

Approximately 45 students are enrolled. Minimum qualifications include a completed M.Sc. in a related field and basic knowledge of bioethics; prior TA experience in a bioethics course is preferred.

Qualifications

• MSc in a related field and basic knowledge of bioethics.
• Previous TA experience in a bioethics course preferred.
• Ability to assist with lectures, tutorials, marking, and student advising.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of course syllabus and marking scheme.
• Assist in teaching weekly lectures and tutorials.
• Assist in marking assignments and exams; provide office hours for students.
