Job summary

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority invites applications for a part-time Health Care Assistant at Victoria General Hospital. This 0.40 FTE, in-person role requires 7.75 hours per day with time split across shifts and a start date of 11/21/2026.

Candidates must have completed Grade XII, a recognized Health Care Assistant course (or be enrolled in a nursing program year two), CPR, and Basic Cardiac Life Support where applicable, with strong English communication and safe patient handling.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Completed Grade XII or equivalent required.
• Completion of recognized Health Care Assistant course required or currently enrolled in a University Nursing Program and having completed year two (2).
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support is required for positions in Emergency, Intensive Care and Central Relief Team.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
