Job summary

A regional health authority in Ontario seeks a Health Care Aide to provide support to residents in daily activities. Ideal candidates will have a minimum Grade 12 education and a Health Care Aide Certificate. Experience in caring for the elderly or disabled is preferred. The position offers a temporary contract with a focus on teamwork, maintaining patient dignity, and adherence to health regulations.

Qualifications

• One to two years’ experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and PHIA.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to residents in Activities of Daily Living.
• Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or similar.
• Maintain competency through education and certifications.
