Job summary

Bethany Calgary is seeking a Health Care Aide to provide compassionate care to residents at Rainbow Terrace. You will support activities of daily living, honor resident preferences and promote independence under supervision of the nursing team.

Applicants must have Grade 10 education and a Health Care Aide certificate; CLHA registration is preferred. Evening shifts 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, part-time permanent position, located in Calgary, AB. A Criminal Background Check is required upon selection.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education plus a Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate.
• Registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
• Excellent observation, communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Resident-Centered Care: Promotes service excellence and responds to residents’ needs per care plans; assists with activities of daily living while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Documentation: Accurately documents care observations to the RN or LPN in a timely manner; records holistic resident needs.
• Safety: Follows safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff; aware of health and safety policies.
