Effective April 2026, this position will transition from AgeCare Midnapore (500 Midpark Way SE, Calgary, AB) to AgeCare Shawnee (50 Shawnee Street SW, Calgary, AB) as the Midnapore location will be closing.

The Opportunity

AgeCare is seeking an experienced and dynamic Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our team. This role presents a remarkable opportunity for YOU to make a significant impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

As an HCA, you will work as a member of the care team, collaborating on the delivery of resident care. The Health Care Aide, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, applies their knowledge and skills to provide a wide variety of safe and thorough basic care and services to residents.

What You Will Do
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living and delivers personal care services in a manner that promotes choice, involvement, and participation to the greatest degree possible
  • Assists delivery of meals, housekeeping, laundry, and therapeutic recreation programs
  • Be resident-centered in your approach and model our values in all your interactions with the public, team members, residents, and their families
  • Participates in the delivery of social, recreational, and therapeutic programs including group activities, outings, and special events
What You Bring
  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certificate course
  • Registered in the Health Care Aide Directory
  • Fluent in English, both orally and in writing
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation
  • Strong planning, follow up, time management & organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain flexible within demanding environment
  • Demonstrates AgeCare values and an empathetic attitude and approach in working with others.
