Job summary

Green Acres Foundation Housing for Seniors seeks a team-oriented Health Care Aide to join our facility in Picture Butte, Alberta on a temporary 0.6 FTE basis.

You will assist residents with daily living activities, provide personal care, and respond to emergencies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. An HCA certificate and CLHA registration are required, with a current RC check; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• HCA certificate is required.
• Criminal Record Check current within the last 6 months.
• Active registration on the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Clear written and spoken English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Provide personal care to residents.
• Respond to emergency calls as required.
• Assist residents with medications.
• Assist with housekeeping, meal preparation/service, and recreational activities.
• Complete all charting, paperwork, and reporting clearly and timely.
• Maintain a neat, clean, home-like environment for residents.

Temporary FTE 0.6 Health Care Aide

Green Acres Foundation is seeking a team-oriented multi-tasker who is flexible, enthusiastic, and has a positive attitude to help as a Health Care Aide at our facility in Picture Butte, Alberta.

Does this sound like you? If it is, you will perform duties that require considerable confidentiality, initiative, tact, and independent judgement. We are a self-motivated bunch who finds coming to work fun, so strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a MUST.

This is a Temporary position with an anticipated end date of April 7, 2027.

Basic responsibilities of the position include:

• Assisting residents with the activities of daily living
• Providing personal care to residents
• Respond to emergency calls as required
• Assisting residents with medications
• Assisting with housekeeping, meal preparation/service, and recreational activities
• Compete all necessary charting, paperwork, and reporting requirement in a clear, concise, and timely manner
• Maintain a neat, clean, pleasant, home-like environment for the residents

Requirements for the position:

• Health Care Aide Certificate
• Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check (within the last 6 months)
• Active registration on the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA)
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English

First Aid Certification, Food Safety, and WHMIS Training is an asset.
