A leading mining company is seeking a Health and Safety Trainer to join their operations in Timmins, Ontario. Responsibilities include maintaining safe operating procedures, providing training, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of mining experience and a Train the Trainer Certification. We are looking to hire a Health and Safety Trainer to join our Timmins Operations in Timmins, ON, on a full-time basis. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs/day or 4 on, 3 off, 10hrs/day. Please note that this is not a camp-based position.
In this role, you will be responsible to maintain and promote safe operating procedures for all jobs at the mine. The Health & Safety Trainer is also responsible to ensure that all employees follow safe operating procedures when performing tasks and to provide training and guidance to all workers. Much of the incumbent’s time will be spent underground and doing hands‑on training.
