Field Safety Supervisor
The Safety Supervisor is a pan‑business role that is pivotal to growing our safety culture and ensuring compliance across the business. The position works closely with all levels of the business to ensure structured processes are developed and integrated into our management operating system at the field level. The Safety Supervisor needs to balance compliance, education and a practical knowledge of field work in their daily activities.
The Safety Supervisor is integral in maintaining the capability of the GVA Asphalt, Pave, Construction, Civil and Infrastructure operations organization to increase construction revenue and capability. This includes actively participating in building a culture of agility, collaboration, and empowerment enabling continuous improvement. This includes finding practical value‑added solutions to improve our management operating system.

Incident tracking and management (10%) :
Contractor Safety Management : Amrize Contractor Coordinator (MCC) (40%) :
Front Line integration (40%) :
Education Preferred : Certified industrial hygienist (CIH), registered occupational hygienist (ROH), certified safety professional (CSP), Canadian registered safety professional (CRSP) or professional engineer (P. Eng.) preferred.
Required Work Experience : 10 years of relevant work experience.
Required Training / Certifications : Joint Health and Safety Committee Meeting Training required. OFA 3 OR Advanced First Aid designation preferred. NCSO (National Council Safety Officer – Professional Designation preferred or in progress. Current Fall Protection, Confined Space, Energy Isolation or electrical training, MEWPS (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms), Rigging Certification all preferred.
Required Technical Skills : Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.
Travel Requirements : 10-20%
