A leading staffing firm is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Specialist for a long-term contract in Vancouver. The role focuses on ensuring safety is integrated into project planning and execution, overseeing compliance, and providing safety training. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of safety experience in heavy industry and relevant certifications. This position involves rotating weekend coverage and collaboration with cross-functional teams to promote workplace safety.
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Specialist for a client in the Vancouver area. This is a site-based long term contract opportunity. The Health & Safety Specialist provides health and safety support to our client's asset management team, working in partnership with the Health & Safety Manager, Project Managers, and Engineering team. This role ensures that safety is integrated into all phases of project planning and execution, focusing on risk mitigation, compliance, and continuous safety improvement. This individual will oversee contractor safety, pre-job safety setup, and field safety verification during capital projects, shutdowns, and maintenance initiatives. With a high volume of capital projects and maintenance initiatives, this role ensures that safety is proactively integrated into project planning and continuously monitored during execution.
