About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Director Flight Operations, you will have the overall responsibility for the Technical Fuel area and related programs, their development, implementation and improvement.

What your day would be like
  • Overseeing and management of all aspects related to jet fuel, technical fuel or related programs;
  • Support achievement of IATA objectives for the industry related to jet fuel;
  • Manage assigned IATA projects and campaigns related to Jet fuel in close collaboration with other IATA divisions;
  • Work with experts from IATA member airlines and partners on technical jet fuel issues;
  • Lead airline teams on field missions and prepare briefs on technical fuel problems;
  • Promote the program by means of presentations to relevant internal or external stakeholders, and develop promotional material;
  • Communicate with airlines, regulators, ICAO and other agencies to promote all fuel related programs and to ensure success and the integrity of the program;
  • Serve as secretary to the Technical Fuel Group (TFG);
  • Collaborate with the IFQP members in the development and approval of fuel quality standards, auditor training material and program changes;
  • Collaborate with the IFQP members to drive continuous improvement of inspection checklists and auditing practices, inspectors’ training requirements and qualification process;
  • Collaborate with IFQP members to evaluate and mitigate risks related to program management;
  • Drive synergies between IFQP management and TFG to ensure alignment of standards and safe fuel operations.
We would love to hear from you if
  • University degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years airline or aviation fuel industry experience, particularly in the fields of operations, maintenance/engineering, safety, quality, auditing;
  • Experience of managing audit programs;
  • In-depth knowledge of international regulatory operational requirements such as ICAO, FAA, EASA;
  • Demonstrated competence in successful project management of complex, multi-faceted initiatives;
  • Experience at managing teams;
  • Strong analytical and logical abilities with superior organizational expertise;
  • Energetic, proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, additional languages would be an asset.
