About The Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic, strategic and hands‑on leader to take on the role of Head of Technology Potash, based in Saskatoon, Canada. Reporting to the Vice President Technology Americas, this is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic direction and operational performance for all technology functions supporting Potash operations. This role shapes the way our business leverages technology across the Potash value chain, ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, and innovative technology solutions that enable productivity, cost efficiency, and risk reduction.

Key Accountabilities
Lead & Inspire
  • Provide senior leadership to teams managing, coordinating, supporting and delivering technology services, ensuring consistent capability across OT/IT security, mine systems, rail systems, control systems and network.
  • Build and maintain diverse, high performing teams, and foster a culture of inclusion, feedback and continuous improvement through BOS.
Serve Our Customers
  • Represent the Technology function as part of the Potash Asset Leadership Team.
  • Set direction, establish priorities and strengthen customer feedback loops to deliver maximum value for the Asset and the Enterprise.
  • Define and implement Potash’s technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Deliver Asset Technology projects on time and within budget.
Champion Risk & Safety Management
  • Build a risk‑aware culture, assessing threats and opportunities, demonstrating strong safety leadership and leveraging BHP’s risk management framework and cybersecurity standards to support safe and productive outcomes.
Drive Service Excellence
  • Deliver effective and timely responses to service requests, resolve incidents and problems, and ensure business‑critical technology services are reliable and available.
  • Ensure problems are solved at the root cause, solutions are appropriately evaluated and implement structured approaches to tackle enterprise‑wide challenges.
  • Build and deploy reliable, cost‑effective and impactful technology solutions, managing operating and capital expenditure to ensure value delivery is maximised.
Engage Stakeholders
  • Identify, engage and manage diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals, including management of external vendors.
  • Balance delivery of Asset, Technology function and Enterprise priorities.
About You
  • At least 10 years of senior leadership engaging and managing a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders including third‑party vendors.
  • Relevant undergraduate qualifications in a technical discipline, preferably Engineering or Technology/IT.
  • Strong Safety Leadership culture in the Mining, Resource or Manufacturing Industries.
  • A passion for safety, customer value and operational excellence.
  • Ability to motivate teams, drive change, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Extensive experience in leadership within large‑scale industrial or mining operations, ideally including both operational and technology leadership roles.
  • Deep technical knowledge and understanding of OT & IT environments, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
  • Experience in technology service support, end‑user support, troubleshooting, strategic decision‑making and risk management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to manage stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Strong communication skills including advanced English.
