The Canadian School Group (CSG) in Guadalajara seeks a dynamic Head of School to lead a binational program for Early Years to High School, combining Alberta and Mexican curricula in an English immersion environment.

The role requires strategic instructional leadership, strong management skills, and experience with Alberta standards. Multicultural teamwork, language support, and international school experience are valued. The position offers a rewarding climate and collaborative leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with K to 12.
• Experience as a Principal or Assistant Principal in a multicultural and multi-linguistic community.
• Experience with Alberta curriculum or eligibility to meet Alberta teacher and leadership certification standards.
• International school experience is an asset.
• Desirable but not essential knowledge of Spanish.

We are seeking a dynamic Head of School to join the school to lead a highly skilled, experienced, and collaborative team.

SKILLS AND TALENTS

• Presence in the school – visible positive role model
• Provide instructional leadership that supports success for every student
• Lead teachers, students, and support staff through proven skills at identifying areas for growth and strengths and continuous improvement for student success
• Support and mentor staff in implementation of high quality instructional and assessment practices, and facilitation of collaborative teamwork
• Possess strong management skills – initiative, financial planning, budgeting, scheduling, curriculum mapping, developing policy and implementing school structures
• Highly proficient communication skills
• Commitment to building a learning community with all stakeholders
• Knowledgeable on current and effective implementation of an inclusive education model
• Proven history of supporting new teachers and integrating teachers new to the school or curriculum
• Ability to work with diverse English Language Learner (ELL) needs and Second Language programs
