Job summary

Qualifications

• Track record of engineering leadership building and scaling customer-facing products.
• Strong product sense with ability to defend product and UX tradeoffs.
• Staff-engineer level technical bar; operate across all levels.
• Strong customer empathy and advocacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated coaching and mentorship of engineers across levels.
• Experience bringing AI-forward mindset to team operations.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a full-stack team (7-10 engineers) owning a defined part of accounts payable software.
• Define and sharpen the team's mandate within Payments group; decide where to invest and how to win customers.
• Set technical and product direction; prioritize what to build and why.
• Deliver a high-quality, reliable AP product balancing velocity with solid foundation.
• Foster a people-centered culture focused on enablement and trust.
• Collaborate with Design and Product to align scope and delivery.
• Provide coaching and career development for engineers at all levels.
• Drive AI-forward initiatives in team practices and product decisions.
• Translate customer feedback into engineering priorities and trade-offs.
