Job summary

Desjardins is seeking an accomplished Director of Internal Audit, Financial Risk Management to lead a team performing strategic audits of credit, market, liquidity and other financial risks. You will shape the risk-based audit plan, guide cross-sector initiatives and provide independent assurance to senior management and governance bodies.

The role requires 9+ years in risk management or audit within regulated financial environments, plus CFA/PRM/FRM designation and French language proficiency.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in internal audit or risk management roles.
• Management experience of 4+ years in a financial institution or regulated environment.
• Designation such as CFA, PRM or FRM is preferred.
• Knowledge of French is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of the financial risk audit plan using risk-based, agile approach.
• Oversee audits of credit, market, liquidity, interest rate and investment risk.
• Guide cross-sector financial risk management initiatives and capital planning.
• Provide independent assurance and guidance to senior management and decision-making bodies.
