Asana in Vancouver seeks an Analytical Engineering Manager to lead a team that owns the data foundations, including the Gold layer, canonical metrics, and semantic layer. You will ensure trusted data for business decisions and enable AI-powered self-serve via Claude and Databricks Genie.

This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and data science, with in-office days Mon, Tue, Thu and optional WFH on Wed; Friday depends on work. Recruiter will share details.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing or leading a team of analytics engineers, data engineers, or analysts.
• Strong foundation in SQL, data modeling, and semantic layer design.
• Experience shipping governed data products and trusted data assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and develop a team of Analytical Engineers; hire, coach, and set a high bar for data-model quality.
• Own the Gold layer and semantic-layer strategy across domains; curate data models and dashboards.
• Drive self-serve enablement and governance for Claude and Databricks Genie implementations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define data contracts and SLAs at key boundaries.
• Manage build-vs-buy trade-offs and control data run-rate and costs.
