Head Houseperson — Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Staff Services

Location: 1 Old Lodge Rd, Jasper, AB T0E 1E0

Starting rate of pay: $20.81 per hour • Job type: Full-time

Overview

The Head Houseperson supports the Staff Services Team by ensuring the well‑being of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge's employees and residents, and contributes to the satisfaction and comfort of guests in colleague accommodation.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate and maintain effective communication within Staff Services and other departments.
  • Continuous supervision, training and ongoing performance reviews of housepersons.
  • Inspect assigned rooms and cabins for cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Supervise the supply, proper use and care of equipment.
  • Report maintenance deficiencies and follow through with repairs in rooms, cabins and surrounding areas.
  • Clean and maintain all staff areas (outside grounds, R&R room, training room and laundry rooms).
  • Ensure that all recycling is carried out daily.
  • Daily supervision of Linen room operations in absence of uniform coordinator.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid Alberta driver's license required.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Housekeeping/janitorial experience an asset.
  • Experience with linen room operations an asset.

  • Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
