Purpose of Position

The Head Custodian is responsible for overseeing and providing cleaning and maintenance services to Brandon School Division facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Are established by the Supervisor of Custodial Services within the parameters of the job profile.

Required Qualifications
  • Requires specific knowledge including the ability to maintain clean and sanitary facilities through the use of cleaning skills and tools.
  • Effective basic knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Class 5 Driver's License.
  • WHMIS Training/Certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
  • Moderate interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
  • First Aid, CPR Certification.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
