Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Chef at Coppa’s Fresh Market, located in King City, ON. The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, cooking, and presentation of meals. Responsibilities include managing kitchen staff, maintaining kitchen inventory, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards, and collaborating with management to enhance the customer dining experience. The Head Chef will also be responsible for training new kitchen staff and continuously improving kitchen procedures.

Qualifications

  • Culinary skills: Expertise in cooking, menu planning, and food presentation
  • Leadership skills: Experience in managing and training kitchen staff
  • Operational skills: Ability to manage kitchen inventory and maintain high food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaboration skills: Ability to work with management and other departments to improve customer dining experiences
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Certification in culinary arts or related field
  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role is preferred
