What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

The depth and talent of our culinary team provides an exciting atmosphere of creativity and ongoing professional development with five restaurants, banquets, corporate events and weddings. The Inn sources most ingredients locally from the Chatham Bars Inn Farm, local fishermen and purveyors. Innovative areas include our bread program, preservation and fermentation, partnership with our farm, changing menus and a dedicated pastry team. The Head Baker is responsible for preparing and baking various menu items including breads, breakfast pastries, cookies, cakes, and more for restaurants and banquets. This is a full time year‑round position.

  • Ensure high‑quality food products and presentation
  • Follow portion sizes, recipes, and kitchen procedures
  • Maintain food stock and cleanliness of workstations and equipment
  • Properly handle, store, and rotate products
  • Assist with food prep and closing kitchen duties as needed
  • Report food waste
  • Complete tasks within designated time frames
  • Manage a diverse team, foster a healthy and creative environment and participate in team meetings
What are we looking for?
  • 1-3 years previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
  • Requires strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Have a desire to exceed expectations
  • An energetic personality
