Bayshore is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Caregiver to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional care and support to our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

Work location: Dawson Creek

Pay range: $23.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and household management
  • Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events
  • Administer personal care services according to care plan directives
  • Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to their needs
  • Perform specialized procedures with proper training and current competency
  • Observe and document client conditions, report changes or unusual events to supervisor or office
  • Implement infection prevention practices

Job Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited caregiver training program or equivalent education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of caregiving principles and customer service
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; French skills are an asset
  • Ability to provide high-quality community care services with current best practices knowledge
  • Physical ability to assist with movement, lift up to 23 kg, squat, bend, stand, and reach
  • Reliable transportation; driver’s license and vehicle are assets
  • Clear Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
