Your Impact

As a Hardware Engineer within this team, you will aid in driving new technology initiatives and performing Qualitrol’s NPD and Sustaining programs per Fortive’s processes. They will work on multiple projects using internal and external resources to deliver quality products that meet our customers' needs. Involved in all facets of development starting from requirements specification, validation, verification, and deployment. Responsible for product quality and reliability along with feature completion. This individual will embody Fortive’s principles of leading by example, communicating openly, enabling, and inspiring extraordinary teams, excelling with partners, acting conclusively with high integrity, and collaborating efficiently to delight customers.

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies :

  • Use Agile development Methods and the Scrum Framework to deliver critical, customer facing, monitoring systems, sensors and solutions for Utilities and Industrial customers.
  • Support guidance into the entire product implementation cycle including requirements analysis, high level and detailed design, including PCBA layout, implementation, testing, integration, documentation, compliance certification and introduction to production in coordination with architecture team.
  • Work with a multi-functional team that includes hardware architecture, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, logistics engineering teams, product and program management and other groups, as needed.
  • Support advanced technology initiatives to develop next generation sensors and sensing platforms and improvements in products sustaining activities.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience :

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Experience in schematics and PCBA design and complex PCBA layout.
  • Experience in alternative components' identification, proposing options, samples testing and verification.
  • Experience with analog and digital design speeds of up to 1GHz, wireless communications, op-amps, and power management.
  • Experience in designing for product compliance (EMC, Safety, CE marks).
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum framework.
  • Experience with design and characterization with FPGAs, Altium Designer, and High-Speed Design Analysis & Verification such as HyperLynx is a plus.
