Position: Permanent full‑time, 30 to 35 hours per week.

Salary: $36.00 per hour.

Overview

This position requires advising clients on beauty care treatments, analyzing hair and scalp condition, cutting and trimming hair, providing custom treatments, shampooing, shaving, and more.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on beauty care treatments
• Analyze hair and scalp condition
• Book appointments
• Cut and trim hair according to client instructions or preferences
• Provide custom hair and scalp treatments
• Shampoo customers' hair
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches
• Provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp conditioning massages
• Supervise other hair stylists and staff
• Supervise apprentices/students in training
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
• Apply hair extensions
• Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
• Perform receptionist duties
• Maintain and order supplies

Qualifications
