Job summary

SmartStyle Salons in Ontario is seeking an experienced manager-stylist to lead a busy salon team. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction, profitability, and a creative, energetic environment for stylists.

The manager will supervise scheduling, product education, and performance; a valid Ontario Cosmetology License is required, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Flex hours include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of cosmetology curriculum.
• Secondary education required.
• Experience: 2+ years of management experience or 5+ years of experience as a stylist.
• Ontario Cosmetology License required.
• Intermediate computer skills including email.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality haircuts and chemical services (color, perms, highlights, etc.).
• Educate and recommend hair products to customers.
• Evaluate performance and service provided by all stylists.
• Perform technical adjustments.
• Create staff scheduling.
• Place retail product orders.
• Maintain and count retail product inventory.
• Ensure customer satisfaction is delivered.
• Perform opening/closing procedures as applicable.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
