Job summary

Waterloo Region District School Board seeks a Secondary Teacher for a 0.67 FTE Long-Term Occasional assignment at Forest Heights from Sept 2, 2026 to Oct 2, 2026. An unpaid Non-teaching day on Sept 4, 2026 is noted.

2 LTO sections (0.67 FTE) of Guidance at Forest Heights. C.I,from September 2, 2026 to and includingOctober 2, 2026. ** Please note, September 4, 2026 is an unpaid, non-teaching day.**

Applicants must hold OCT qualifications inthe assignedsubject in order to be eligible to apply to thisLong-term Occasional vacancy. This posting is open to Secondary Occasional Teachers on the WRDSBOccasional Teacher Roster and external applicants. Applicants will be considered in the following order:

1) Secondary Occasional Teachers on the OT Roster

2) External applicants

This job may be assigned in whole or in part at the discretion of the school. Individuals in an assignment for a period of time that extends into the assignment of the long-term occasional position posted herein are not eligible to apply. An application must include an attachment with a copy of a current Certificate of Qualification and may include other documents the candidate chooses to submit. It is the responsibility of eligible applicants to ensure that their application, including a resume, and a copy of a current Certificate of Qualification, is submitted through Apply to Education no later than 12:00 p.m. on the closing date.

The pay range for Secondary Teacher, LTO or Contract, is in accordance with legislation. Placementon the salarygrid will be determined on QECO category and years of experience. Successful candidateswill initially be placed at the starting step but may be eligible for higher placement on the salarygrid upon submission of the required documentation verifying QECO categoryand/or prior related experience as approved by the Board, as outlined in this chart.
