Job description

Guest Services Agent

We are currently looking for a Guest Services Agent! The primary responsibility of this role is to provide our hotel guests with a positive first and last impression through exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Guest Service Agent will:

  1. Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor with guests and team members.
  2. Ensure compliance with all company and brand standards.
  3. Interact with guests during check-in and check-out.
  4. Create and cancel reservations, handle check-ins and check-outs.
  5. Greet all incoming and outgoing calls professionally and promptly.
  6. Review logbook and emails daily, completing all tasks on the checklist.
  7. Operate front desk telephones properly and be familiar with daily sell rates.
  8. Balance and prepare shift paperwork according to hotel standards.
  9. Communicate effectively with all hotel departments.
  10. Handle guest registration, room assignments, and accommodate special requests.
  11. Manage guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel policies.
  12. Resolve customer complaints and assist with inquiries about hotel services, local attractions, and other amenities.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Qualifications
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a hotel front desk role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel; experience with Maestro or Opera is a plus.
  • Results-oriented with flexibility and ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving skills, and ability to complete projects independently.
  • Friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, professional appearance.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
