Job summary

A leading hotel brand in Edmonton is seeking a Guest Service Agent to provide outstanding service and create memorable experiences for guests. Responsibilities include checking in/out guests, addressing concerns, and maintaining a professional appearance. Ideal candidates have front desk experience and effective communication skills. Qualifications

  • Previous front desk/reception experience is a strong asset.
  • Must have effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Micros PMS/Opera is an asset.
  • Must have a good command of the English language.
  • Available for shift work including weekends and holidays.

Job Description

First impressions are everything! As a Guest Service Agent, you will take care of the guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure by ensuring they have a memorable experience with us.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Provide effective, efficient service in a friendly manner
  • Check in and out hotel guests according to standards and policies
  • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly
  • Review and prepare for VIP and ALL loyalty members arrivals to ensure a flawless check‑in experience
  • Keep front desk stocked, organized, tidied, and sanitized
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well‑groomed appearance adhering to Hotel grooming standards
  • Other responsibilities connected with Front Office may be required

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP an asset
  • Knowledge of Micros PMS/Opera an asset
  • Must have a good command of the English language
  • Hotel/Hospitality degree or diploma an asset

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.

Hourly Range: $22.77 - $23.77 CAD Gross per hour
