Walmart Canada in Fort McMurray, AB is seeking a energetic Cashier to deliver exceptional customer service at the checkout and protect company assets with attention to detail.

As a Cashier you will greet customers, process transactions, assist with bagging, and refer complex items to a supervisor. The role starts at a minimum hourly rate of $18.80, with potential for growth based on performance and tenure.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Process all purchase transactions promptly, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promote sponsor programs, i.e., credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refer appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
